Meet Caitlin McDonough

2025 Scholarship Recipient

One of 26 awarded a Community Choice scholarship for leading with purpose.

Dedicated and Service-Driven

Each year, we honor students who show resilience, ambition, and a commitment to their communities. This year, we proudly support Caitlin McDonough from Royal Oak, a scholar who embodies these values.

Caitlin is a motivated student with a deep passion for learning. She has been accepted into the University of Michigan, where she will explore the social and economic aspects of healthcare. With a strong foundation in anatomy and physics, her passion for medicine grew through shadowing a radiologist and receiving guidance from family members in the field. Caitlin’s goal is clear: to become a doctor and find the specialty that best fits her skills and interests.

Beyond academics, Caitlin is dedicated to service. She volunteers regularly at Helping Hands, a food pantry supporting those in need, and serves as an officer in the National Honor Society, coordinating blood drives, coat drives, and other community initiatives. She also draws inspiration from her late father’s experience with compassionate physicians, which fuels her drive to enter the medical field.

We are honored to award Caitlin this scholarship, knowing her future is bright in the world of medicine.

Our 2025 scholarship recipients are change makers in the making—each with a unique vision for how they’ll give back to their communities.
