A Scholar Dedicated to Community and Hard Work
At Community Choice Foundation, we believe in uplifting students who strive for academic excellence while dedicating themselves to helping others. This year, we proudly award a scholarship to Trevor Basch from Holt, an inspiring young leader who embodies the spirit of service and perseverance.
A lifelong Spartan, Trevor has spent his life in East Lansing dreaming of the day he would attend Michigan State University. Through determination and academic dedication, he earned direct admission into MSU’s competitive business college—a testament to his work ethic and passion for his future in accounting.
His commitment to service extends far beyond the classroom. In 2023, Trevor launched his own lawn mowing business—not just as an entrepreneurial venture, but as a way to give back. He provides his services free of charge to neighbors, church members, and those in need, turning a simple business into an opportunity to serve. Beyond that, he volunteers regularly at his local food bank, ensuring his time and effort strengthen his community.
With plans to pursue a career in accounting, Trevor hopes to continue serving others in meaningful ways, carrying forward the mission that has guided him throughout his life. We are honored to support him on this journey, knowing that his future holds not only professional success but a lasting impact on those around him.
