2025 Scholarship Recipient
One of 26 awarded a Community Choice scholarship for leading with purpose.

Honoring Dedication
At Community Choice Foundation, we are proud to support students who exemplify dedication to education, career aspirations, and community service. This year, we award a scholarship to Hannah Valley from Essexville, whose unwavering commitment to healthcare and advocacy will leave a lasting impact.
From a young age, Hannah pursued her passion for nursing, gaining hands-on experience as a CNA through an internship at McLaren Hospital’s cardiac step-down unit. Though unpaid, the opportunity reinforced her devotion to patient care and strengthened her resolve to make a difference in the medical field. As she prepares to study nursing at Central Michigan University, with a minor in American Sign Language, she is laying the foundation for a career focused on supporting and advocating for vulnerable children.
Beyond academics, Hannah’s impact in her community is remarkable. With over 400 hours of volunteer work—ranging from theater programs to food drives, NHS initiatives, and church involvement—she has demonstrated leadership and a genuine dedication to service. Her contributions highlight her ability to connect with others and create meaningful change wherever she goes.
This scholarship will not only support her education but also empower her to expand her outreach. With aspirations to work at a children’s hospital, potentially St. Jude, and use her ASL skills to support children with special needs and those in the deaf community, her future is bright and full of purpose.
At Community Choice Foundation, we believe in investing in students who uplift others, and Hannah embodies that spirit wholeheartedly. We are honored to support her journey and look forward to the incredible impact she will make in the years ahead.
