Your New Mastercard is Coming Soon

We have some exciting news. Some of you might have heard by now, but if you haven’t, we think you’ll like it.

This summer, we’re upgrading from Visa to Mastercard debit and credit cards. The best part is, it’s easy to start enjoying all of the new benefits your Mastercard will offer. Just activate your new card, and we’ll push updates to most, if not all, merchants who do automatic billing on your cards. You can even use your same PIN if you want to.

You will receive plenty of correspondence from us to make sure you have all the information you need to begin using your new card. We’ll send you a letter two weeks before your card is mailed asking you to be on the lookout and an email once your card is in the mail. When you receive your card, all the instructions regarding activation will be included. We’ll even check back in with you a week or so after your card has arrived to make sure you’ve activated your card.

e-Banking and mobile banking will be keeping up with the changes, so you can log on and make payments, see your balance, and everything else you’re accustomed to doing online with your current card. Members whose debit cards are expiring soon will be in the first wave of replacements, so if your card expires in mid-August, you’re first. The rest of the debit cards will be mailed in waves throughout August and September. Credit card holders will receive their replacements in September.

While your life will remain the same, we’ll be busy contacting merchants that your card has switched, so you don’t have to. Of course, we always advise that you keep an eye on all your automatic payments and deposits connected to your cards just in case action is needed, but we’re planning for a smooth transition. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the benefits.

And there are several benefits to being a Mastercard holder. That’s why we decided to make the switch, because we want you to have the very best options available. The most noticeable benefit is Mastercard’s Tap & Go® option, where all you have to do is tap your card at the checkout and your payment, debit or credit, is automatically made. No more using keypads. Just Tap & Go. Restaurants and merchants have been adapting to the new technology, and pretty soon, it will be common to see this logo.

This means Tap and Go.

And there are more benefits designed to keep you safe, including:

  • Mastercard ID Theft Protection – Expert 24/7 assistance is available should you become a victim of identity theft.

  • Mastercard Zero Liability Protection: Protects you against any unauthorized purchases on your card if your card is lost or stolen

Let’s talk about travel perks:

  • Airport Concierge - Enjoy a 15% savings on airport meet and greet services.

  • Travel Accident and Baggage Delay Insurance – you’ll never have to worry about a missed flight or lost luggage again.

If you’re a World Mastercard holder, there are benefits just for you  when you use your card to make purchases, including savings on DoorDash, Fandango, HelloFresh, and Lyft. World card holders will also enjoy access to Priceless Cities, where travelers have exclusive access to experiences and opportunities in some of the world’s most exciting cities.

And those are just a few of the benefits Mastercard offers. More to come as we get closer to the switch. Stay tuned, and make sure your email and mailing address are up to date so you don’t miss any important news or the delivery of your new card. You can verify your current contact information and make any necessary changes in e-Banking. Simply log in, go to  Menu>Settings>Contact info.
