We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming shoe drive in collaboration with GotSneakers – a sneaker organization that makes a huge impact with its global recycling efforts. Donate your used athletic and casual rubber-soled shoes from April 15-30, 2024!
Most people throw away used sneakers every 125-200 days without recycling. Recycling and reusing sneakers helps keep them out of landfills and supports our growing circular economy. Plus, GotSneakers will donate to our Foundation that funds student scholarships for every pair they receive, so it’s a win-win!
Let’s put our best foot forward and make an environmental impact! Drop off your donated shoes in pairs, with each pair in its own bag, to your nearest Community Choice member center from April 15-30. Join us in taking positive steps towards a more sustainable future, one pair of shoes at a time.
Acceptable Shoes: Any athletic footwear including running, basketball, gym, and training
shoes. We can even take sports shoes with cleats (rubber only).
Unacceptable Shoes: Any non-athletic footwear including dress shoes, heels, rain boots, sandals, slip-ons, water socks, wedges, or work boots of any kind. No rips, holes, or single shoes accepted.

Did you know Community Choice awards $100,000 in scholarships annually to deserving students continuing their education?
Since 2009, the Foundation’s scholarship program has granted $1.5 million to 320 recipients making education
more attainable. One of the conditions of receiving a scholarship is a promise to remain in Michigan after
graduation or training. This contributes to a talent pipeline for local businesses and helps keep a Michigan
workforce right here at home.
Our fundraising goal can only be achieved through the ongoing generosity of our members. We invite
