The founder of MiCannaPros sits down with us to talk business, culture, and how Community Choice has helped grow his company.
Can you tell us a little about your business and the services/products you offer?
MiCannaPros is a private online community that focuses on the Michigan metrc licensed market and has almost 11,000 members. It is a free platform and marketplace to promote your business as well as share industry knowledge. Meet. Connect. Puff. is a high-level business to business networking event that focuses on connecting brands and retailers. MiCannaPulse is a live broadcast that interviews leaders in the industry. I am also a licensed realtor that specializes in the sale of cannabis real estate and assets.
How long have you been in business, and what inspired you to get started?
I started as a caregiver in 2013 as I fully believed in the benefits of the plant. MiCannaPros Facebook group started in 2018. Meet. Connect. Puff. started in 2022 and MiCannaPulse started in 2025, and I started in the cannabis real estate space in 2021.
What is one thing that sets your business apart from others in the area?
Ours was built and rooted from community and culture. We operate 24/7/365.
How does being a member at Community Choice support your growth and success?
I have been fortunate enough to establish a great relationship with Community Choice. They are always telling people about the various services that we provide and are a great referral source.
What services do you use from Community Choice (checking, loans, etc.)? In what ways have these services helped streamline or improve your business operations?
I currently use their checking services.

What advice would you give to other small business owners looking to grow and succeed?
Do what you love and are passionate about. Surround yourself with quality people.
What impact do you hope your business will have in the community in the long run?
To have a bigger, more impactful reach. Continue to connect businesses that will benefit from those introductions.
What are your future business goals?
To continue to grow all of our different concepts and perhaps expand into other states.
