On Tuesday, Nov. 24, while they’re preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday, our members who have achieved Emerald or Gold status as part of our GetBigReward$ program will receive a special deposit into their account.
Emerald level members will see a $9 credit and Gold $3. The amount represents a catch-up deposit from the spring, when we temporarily suspended the GetBigReward$ program so that we could fund relief options for members who were financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We were thrilled when we were able to reinstate reward deposits on August 1, sooner than originally expected.
The pause in the program was successful, as thousands of members were able to receive some financial relief.
Every little bit helps, and this is one way of symbolically thanking you for your understanding and patience while we funded these special programs. Your support reinforced what we already knew, that we have a membership made up of caring, generous, people.
In total, we will disperse $253,881 among members.
When you hear the expression, “People helping people,” please remember that it’s not a motto we take lightly: it’s the foundation on which all credit unions were formed.
When we all gather around our tables on Thanksgiving Day, whether it’s through Facetime, Zoom, or if you’re lucky enough to be home and healthy for the holidays, let’s give thanks for family, friendships, and happiness and know that through your generosity and understanding, many of your neighbors will be able to share a similar experience. You helped make that possible, and we thank you.
